The Five Transductions of Mind: A Unified Bioelectric and Cognitive Architecture of the Stratogenic Cogito
The central puzzle of contemporary cognitive science remains the "scandal of subjectivity": why does anything feel like anything at all?. For centuries, the Cartesian bifurcation of nature has forced a choice between a dualism that exiles mind from matter and an eliminativism that denies the very phenomenon of experience. However, the synthesis of developmental biology and predictive processing suggests a third path. We must move beyond the "Hard Problem" to the "Real Problem"—explaining, predicting, and controlling the phenomenological properties of consciousness by understanding the biological and informational mechanisms that sustain it. This report proposes that the history of mind is a series of "transduct
